If there ever was a place that would be labeled as a “must” in San Diego, it has to be Paradise Point. Paradise Point Resort and Spa is the ultimate getaway destination for couples and families in America’s Finest City.

Toted as Southern California’s Luxury Resort, the 44-acre vacation isle situates itself in a cozy part of San Diego’s Mission Bay. As guests, you are treated to calming breezes and sounds from the bay, while nestled inside quiet and relaxing luxury bungalows overlooking pristine blue waters or a quaint garden retreat. Guests get the 5 star treatment from the staff as they graciously meet the needs for all of their visitors, and the food is fantastic!

As Love Bugs, we have been visiting Paradise Point for many years. Each visit continually gets better than the next. One of our favorite activities is to eat a pleasant breakfast outside our bungalow and enjoy the morning peacefulness only Paradise Point can offer. If you do this, we recommend the Steak and Eggs.

For dinner, Baleen San Diego (located inside the resort) is a highly acclaimed restaurant lead by a genius chef with a menu to die for! If you’re lucky enough try the cucumber ice. It’s absolutely heaven (note: Baleen’s menu changes often so inquire with your host first).

The Love Bug Rating:
Service: 5/5 Stars
Food: 5/5 Stars
Atmosphere: 5/5 Stars
Price: $$$$$

Tip #1: Save money by ordering Breakfast at the Barefoot Cafe. They have an excellent breakfast menu and friendly staff. The walk from your room to the restaurant can be pretty romantic too.

Tip #2: Make a reservation at least 1 month before planning to attend. Rooms get booked fast in the summer.

Tip #3: Sign up to the Paradise Point mailing list for offers and event information. During winter/off season months, you might be able to get a Garden Suite for as little as $99 a night!
